Peacock - the national bird of India
A peacock in Nehru Zoological Park. I wish I could have taken a photo with the feathers spread and raised. Someone told me that keeping a peacock feather in the room keeps the house lizards away. Don't know if it is true.
I was not aware that peacocks are your national bird--wise choice. Well, I've had a few feathers in my house and I've never had any lizards here in my home in Minnesota so it must work ;=)!!
Established over 400 years ago, Hyderabad is the capital of the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Some of the largest IT companies (Microsoft, Oracle) have their campuses here. Genome Valley, Hyderabad is also the biotech hub of India.

These birds are so beautiful. I love it when they span out their wings.
Peacocks have the prettiest colors and the loudest voices!
